This app converts by means of frequency analysis (FFT) audio sound into DMX data. The DMX data will be transferred in real time via wifi to the HMB | TEC WiFi DMX-controller (UDP protocol). To the DMX controller you can now connect any DMX-compatible devices that perform sound-controllight emitting diodes functions. In the simplest form, this corresponds to a light organ, if you only connect lights or light emitting diodes lights. However, even complex DMX devices, such as moving heads or laser guns are used.

The converter comprises, in its user interface a FFT-/Scope-Display and a light emitting diodes bar. The total light emitting diodess are connected to the individual frequencies in the relevant frequency band assigned to 5,000Hz and light in real time to the beat of the audio signal. Each light emitting diodes is now associated with two DMX channels, since the HMB | TEC controllers are provided, channels 1 to 10 with low-pass characteristic. This gives the user the option of the channels 1 to 10 or 11 to 20 (without low pass), or even both areas have to use.

The audio signals are transmitted via the built-in microphone of the iPhone or absorbed through an external microphone. As an audio source, any source of sound or the audio player on the iPhone can be used.

Important Note!

For the realistic and practical operation, you need a DMX controller available at www.hmb-tec.de. But the app can also be used without additional hardware as a pure frequency analyzer monitor.
